M75

Designed by Burkhard Vogtherr and Jonathan Prestwich

M75’s design is centered on the idea of removing distractions – intellectually and visually – by utilizing a concealed mechanism in which the user acts as a counterweight for the movement of the seat. The result is an intuitive design which functions like a highly customizable task chair with the sophistication of a modern executive chair.

Vogtherr and Prestwich took certain aspects of the Motion chair, namely the ideal comfort and the revolutionary mechanism, and worked to create the same result through a more sophisticated and modern design. Breaking down the components of M75, the back, seat, and armrests were designed to be elegant and visually quiet, but to come together with a perfect balance and flow. The chair itself is like a static sculpture with beautiful flowing lines and a simple elegance that speaks volumes.

Design Features:

  • The geometry of the chair is designed so that the user acts as a counterweight for the movement of the seating mechanism, providing ideal comfort with no adjustments needed
  • The seating mechanism is fully incorporated into the chair with no visible elements
  • Available in Mid and High back models
  • Design options include the open aluminum arm or closed upholstered arm
  • Open aluminum arm is available with a black plastic arm cap for added durability, as an exposed metal arm or with an upholstered arm cap
