After completing an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker, Daniel Wehrli studied product design at the ECAL (Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne) and at the Basel Academy of Art and Design (FHNW HGK). He gained first professional experience as a designer in Kanazawa, Japan where he collaborated with craftsmen. He then worked in New York in the luxury goods, furniture and exhibition field and later in textile R&D projects. In 2015 he started his own studio. His main focus is on furniture design and development. Among his clients are international furniture brands.

The studio has won several design awards such as the Japanese "Award for Excellence" from Ishikawa prefecture (Japan), the Best of NeoCon Gold Award (Chicago) and he has been shortlisted for the Designprize Switzerland. Works have been exhibited at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art (Kanazawa, Japan), Depot Basel, ETH Zurich and at furniture fairs in Cologne, Milan, Chicago and Shenzhen.
